Food | Mid-Exam Apple Cake | www.thewhitestudio.be

Another exam related blog post, my apologies. It’s just that when you’re a student, you are kind of obliged to switch to complete exam-mode twice a year and nothing is supposed to distract you from that. Which doesn’t always work. I’m in my last year and exams have gotten easier (or the material has gotten more interesting), which basically means that I procrastinate even more than I already did and that I get distracted by pretty much everything. I seem to have the concentration skills of a goldfish with ADHD and yet somehow I was able to get to the fifth year of University. Something must be wrong with our educational system…

Anyhow, apple cake! I believe cooking is the ideal thing to do during study breaks. You have to stand up and move a little, you can be creative, you don’t have to think too much and you have to do some manual labor… which is about everything you don’t do while studying, right?

Here’s the (super easy) recipe: 100gr flour, 100gr butter, 100gr sugar, 1 pack vanilla sugar, 2 eggs, 2 apples and an oven at 200°C for about 15-20min. (Mine was in for 25min, which explains the burned edges.)

Bon appétit!
